It is the “international” name of Wroclaw. Germans called it Breslau and it remained so. A simmilar case is with Danzig (Gdansk) or Stettin (Szczecin). Other cities have different names in different languages – for example Warszawa (Polish), Warsaw (English) and Warschau (German). And the case is not only for Polish names. According to most nations the capitol of China is Beijing, but for Poles it is Pekin, right? 😉
